The Book has a body. We can handle it, we can sit at the table, touched by the flavour of its words, we can amble along it, and let it dress us with a fascinating second skin.
Choreographed by a group of performers, this unique fashion show will lend a new body to the Book, and particularly the novel O Processo Violeta by Inês Pedrosa, who is the invited writer for this event. Based on her novel, all the creations were designed specifically for this event by fashion designers designers Anabela Baldaque, Elsa Barreto, Katty Xiomara, Storytailors, Susana Bettencourt and Yuga Hatta.
The performers will enact the novel as sculptures that move along the walkway, demonstrating the relationship between fashion and literature. The Book is therefore in the origin of this show, just like a fabric of narrative bridges between the several arts.
